Over 200 exercise enthusiasts take part in first Resolution Run

Over 200 exercise enthusiasts started 2017 with as they mean to go on for Nottingham’s inaugural Resolution Run on Sunday.

Over 200 exercise enthusiasts started 2017 as they mean to go on for Nottingham’s inaugural Resolution Run on Sunday.

The 5.5k run, organised by Perfect Motion in partnership with Virtual Runner, enjoyed a very successful first event.

Susan Wheatcroft, company owner at Virtual Runner said: “This was the first live event for Virtual Runner and it has been an incredible success.

“The day ran so smoothly and everyone has given excellent feedback, it’s been a pleasure.Hopefully we can make these events a regular thing, 5k is such an accessible distance, it really is something anyone can do.”

The 240 strong group of runners of varying abilities set off from Becket School in West Bridgford around at 10am. The route took participants around Rushcliffe, along Victoria Embankment, over Trent Bridge and back to the Becket school.

Chris Simon, company owner at Perfect Motion said: “I think having in event in the New Year is a fantastic way to start your 2017fitness goal.

“Most people set themselves the challenge of getting fit for the New Year, what better way than to get out the house and take part in an event, it certainly beats going to the gym.”
