Have a fun Run in the Dark for charity!
On Wednesday 16th of November, Salford Quays will become a hive of runners, lights, electric atmosphere and the occasional rogue cartoon character. Run in the Dark Manchester is back to light up Salford Quays for another year.
With 5k and 10k routes available, many runners will be looking to push themselves to the limit and achieve a personal best. However many others will be donning their best fancy dress to take part. In past events, many have dressed up in wild and wacky costumes, including a Minion, Spiderman, Captain Jack Sparrow and more.
Whether you are looking for an out of the ordinary work team activity, or something to challenge yourself with a group of friends, the Run in the Dark team are encouraging you to sign up to spend your evening doing something a bit different. As well as this, entries for the event will raise crucial funds for the Mark Pollock Trust, helping to fast-track a cure for paralysis.
Whatever the reason for taking part, this year’s event is set to be the biggest yet. With Manchester being the only official UK location outside of London, people will come from all over to enjoy the stunning surroundings and fantastic energy that the evening brings. At the same time, the unique event will be taking place in over 50 cities around the world, making it a true global phenomenon.
Run in the Dark Manchester starts at the Piazza at Media City UK and the route will take participants across the two stunning footbridges that link Salford to Trafford as they are lit up against the night sky.
