Great Notts Bike Ride now open for entries!

Cycling enthusiasts of Nottinghamshire will be thrilled to hear that Cycle Live Nottingham has officially opened entries for all routes available in the Great Notts Bike Ride, which will take place on Sunday 25th June 2017.

The annual cycling event expanded the routes available last year, adding a much more challenging 125 mile ride, and a mid-range 75 mile ride. This helped the weekend enjoy one of the most successful years to date with over 4,000 cyclists taking to the Nottinghamshire countryside.

Nik Emmonds, Account Director for Events at Nottingham based Perfect Motion, who organises Cycle Live Nottingham, said;

“We’ve made a few changes to the routes in this year’s Great Notts Bike Ride, and launched a brand new website in line with opening entries. Based on feedback from participants in 2016 we have made The Maid Marian 75 miles to hopefully inspire younger cyclists to try the longer distances.

“2017 will also be the first time in several years that timing chips are available to participants. Whilst we stress that the routes are rides rather than races, we know that many participants like to track their times.

“As always, the rides do sell out so we urge all potential participants to secure their places early to avoid disappointment!”

Whether you are after your next big challenge, or a weekend cycle with the family, entries are now open for; The Robin Hood (25 miles), The Friar Tuck (50 miles), The Maid Marian (75 miles), The ‘Little’ John (100 miles) and The Sheriff (125 miles), all of which will take place on Sunday 25th June 2017.
