Escaping From Caves

Escaping From Caves

Nerf guns, desk basketball, vegan goodies, Robbie Williams calendars, power packs, curry and NOT escaping from a cave – it’s the Perfect Motion Christmas party 2018!

It’s that most wonderful time of the year and Friday (14th December) saw the team in the office getting fully into the spirit (and spirits) of things.

The fun, but surprisingly difficult, job of coming up with 12 days of Christmas rhymes linked to all of our events had got the team into the swing of things throughout the week.

The mandatory blast of Last Christmas and Fairytale of New York accompanied by an office fuddle set the tone for the first part of the ‘working’ day.

Gin was introduced at lunchtime, which in hindsight might not have been the best preparation for the afternoon activity – a mind bending escape room called Cave Escape.

We were transported to the world of Van Helsing and a hunt for Dracula.  Myriad clues had to be found and numerous puzzles solved to help us move from one room to the next.

It was really good fun and I believe that the aforementioned gin was the only reason we didn’t quite complete it within the timeframe.  We were told we were literally 30 seconds away from completing it, so to say we were gutted is an understatement.

We returned to the office for the obligatory Secret Santa gift exchange.  The arrival of a Nerf gun as part of this led to a lot of fun!

Then off we popped for a curry at the Calcutta Club.  Nothing beats a good curry at Christmas does it?

After dinner, people went their separate ways with some heading off for a few more drinks and some heading home.

But it was a lovely way to spend a day.  Great fun, great food, great gin and most importantly, great company.

Merry Christmas from all of us at Perfect Motion.
